Evelyne Amon "C'est la vie!, A French Reader"

初心者用のフランス語リーダー。接続法は一切なかった気がするが、一応文法を全部終わってから読んだほうがいいんじゃないかな。大して難しくないし、読む練習にはなるだろう。語彙は各頁下部と巻末にあり。全部小説仕立て。こういう読み物は何語であろうと大抵内容は同じで、必ずリア充臭が酷くて読むに堪えないが、DELFとかに備える意味でもリア充的語彙を集めるのは必要なことだ。四つのパートがあり、一つ目はパリに下宿／colocataireを探すとかいうよくある話。二つ目は堕落し切った若者たち、いわゆるリア充たちの観光地での下らない生活で、これが最も酷い。三つ目はミステリー仕立てになっているが全くオチがない。四つ目は出会い系サイトでの出会いの話で、一応ちゃんとした恋愛小説になっている。教室での使用も考えられていて、教師・生徒用に様々なsuggestionsが載っているが、おそらく、フランス語力がどうこうより、リア充な話題についていけるかどうかが最大の課題になるだろう。

それはそれとして、このタイトルの"C'est la vie!"だが、わたしがフランス人がこの言葉をハッピーな意味で使っているのを聞いたことが無い。日本語で言えば「仕方ないよ」くらいだ。他方、アメリカ人がこの言葉を言う時は、極めて明るい意味ばかりで、なんか重大な感違いがある気がするが、フランス人に確認したことがないので知らない。

Good reading for novices, but I guess you should have a good command of French grammar before reading it. It consists of four small tales. The first one is a tale of a girl and her mother looking for the girl's appartment in Paris. The second one is the most hedious, which is about young people on vacance. The third one looks like a mystery, but without a surprising end. The last one is about a love on WWW, which, IMHO, is the best. By the way, the phrase "C'est la vie." seems to have different connotations between in France and in North America. It seems to me that in general, the French say it melancholically, while Americans use it pretty happily. But I am not sure if this is a case because I have never checked it with French people. Maybe it is just me.

(Je suis en train de me préparer pour DELF B1. Alors je écris ces passages comme un excercis. Tous les corrections seraient bienvenues.) Ce livre a quatre histoires et quelques parts pour des suggestions des activités pour la classe. La première histoire parle d'une fille qui cherche un appartement et un colocataire. La deuxième parle des quelques personnes qui sont jeunes, riches et heureuses en vacances. Cette partie est la plus désagréable. La troisième semble un roman policier, mais sans la fin étonnante. La dérniere est un petit roman d'amour sur le WWW, qui m'a plu le plus. À part cela, maintenaut, j'ai commancé à douter si je réussisse à DELF.

À propos, j'ai l'impression que la phrase «C'est la vie!» a des sens différentes en Amérique du Nord et en France. Mon hypothèse est comme ça: en France, on dit ça quand on n'est pas très content; aux États-Unix, on la dit comme «That's the life!»/, autrement dit, quand one est très content. Mais je ne l'ai jamais vérifiée.
